Where Feet May Fail
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
A luminous tide rises, vast and unending — its wave surges as a force of nature and metaphor for faith. The sea stretches beyond certainty, asking trust to carry us. Golden light meets endless blue, blurring horizon with eternity. Each brushstroke whispers courage, of stepping beyond the shore into uncharted waters. The ocean here is both guide and mystery: where feet may falter, spirit is lifted, and strength with stillness harmonised.

Echoes of Growth
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
The contrasting colors not only depict seasonal change but also evoke the passage of time and personal growth, transitioning from warmth to coolness, and from day to night. They represent both the outside world and our inner journey of transformation. The path becomes an invitation — to wander, to remember, and to reflect on the shifting phases of life.

Sunrise
92 x 92cm
Acrylic on Canvas
This artwork capture an intricate world of colours, temperatures and undertones. Cool blues evoke calm and spaciousness, while early morning light casts warm tones over the waves. The sea, captured in thin, horizontal strokes stretched across the canvas, layers movement with serenity. Viewers are invited to pause and immerse in a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere.

Beacon of Light
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
“Beacon of Light” draws on Matthew 5:13–16. The lighthouse stands tall, guiding ships safely to shore — just as we are called to shine in a world needing hope. A hidden light serves no purpose, nor a lighthouse without its beam. This painting reminds us to stand firm, shine boldly in darkness, and reflect God’s light: through truth, love, and hope.

From Dawn to Rise
92 x 92cm
Acrylic on Canvas
Immerse yourself in the silence and tranquility before the morning dawn — the epitome of fleeting beauty. For minutes, the sky is a spectacle of colours before fading, mirroring life’s fragility while encouraging us to find that glimmer of hope in life. A palette knife is used to leave visible strokes, expressing strength and harmony with uneven layers of colours and texture. Change here is not disruption, but a natural rhythm that holds beauty.

Migrating Wonder
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
A child in a yellow raincoat steps into a puddle of adventure, unafraid of mud or wet shoes. Childhood greets rain as invitation, every drop a tiny permission to play. As we grow, the instinct to leap into puddles quietly fades, and we learn to measure our steps. Yet wonder rarely disappears — it migrates. This painting reflects on that gentle transformation, reminding us that the spirit of play still moves within us, altered in expression but unaltered in its capacity for joy.

Strength in Togetherness
92 x 92cm
Acrylic on Canvas
This playful otter painting captures their curious, close-knit nature as they huddle for a family “selfie.” Each otter wears a unique expression — wide-eyed wonder to quiet mischief — highlighting individuality within a unit. Like a family portrait, it mirrors Gladiolus Place: each Girl carries her own story and personality into one community, coming together to support, grow and thrive alongside each other.

The Sun Always Shines Through
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
The Sun Always Shines Through is a celebration of resilience, joy, and the light that lives within us. At the heart of the canvas, a radiant burst of yellow symbolizes the sun — constant, unwavering, and full of hope. No matter how complex or chaotic the surrounding colours may be, the light always finds a way through. This piece is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, joy persists, and life remains vibrantly full.

Where Time Takes a Seat
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
This painting evokes Singapore’s past through two nostalgic symbols: a faded bus ticket and a weathered bench. The ticket reflects fleeting journeys of daily life, while the bench, worn by time, preserves quiet stories of shared moments. Together, they recall a simpler time when public transport connected lives. Memories and nostalgia meet here, honouring the everyday as a vessel of connection.

Finding Peace
76 x 76cm
Acrylic on Canvas
This painting radiates quiet comfort. Looking at it feels like taking a deep breath, letting everything else fall away for a moment. Mountains rise steady, rivers flow gently, and a lone duck glides across still waters. That small detail transforms the scene into a bed of calmness — a reminder that being alone does not mean loneliness. Instead, it carries solace and a peace in stillness.

Trainer: Barry Yeow
Barry Yeow is a self-taught artist whose interest in drawing started at a very young age. After stumbling into some art trainers, his inclination grew towards understanding the arts and became a full-time artist in 2011, and a gallery owner and art teacher in 2015.
Inspired by impressionists such as Monet, Barry's works are often expressed with heavily textured mediums with vibrant and lively hues. His work can be seen as spiritually inspired, as Barry believes hope is essential in everyone's lives. Creating artwork has given him joy and contentment. He wants art to impact and inspire others to do likewise.
Trainer: Evangeline Ang
As someone always in awe of nature, light, colours and textures, Evangeline unleashes her desire to translate her fascination to creations on canvas.
Small details and big pictures go hand in hand. This is captured in her work as she explores different mediums to create layers and textures frolicking in a sea of colours. Her artworks when viewed from afar, capture the viewers' interest as her subjects are usually bold and vibrant, some of which are done with an optical illusion. When one looks up close and observes, a different experience emerges as the multitude of different colours hidden amongst the layers of textures bring on a different interest.
